Penn State Basketball’s home clash against Minnesota has been postponed, as the Gophers deal with COVID-19 inside the program

Penn State Basketball’s home matchup vs Minnesota scheduled for Wednesday will be postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Golden Gopher team.

The teams announced that they are working with the Big Ten to reschedule the game and are looking at ‘potential options.’

Penn State Basketball lost two non-conference games earlier in the season due to COVID-19 issues within their own program (VCU and Quinippiac) and then one more when Delaware State had their own COVID issues.

In a statement, Penn State stated, “The health and safety of our student-athlets, coaches, staff, and the broader community are of the upmost importance.”

Penn State Basketball also announced ticket holders for the Minnesota game will be notified once a determination has been made regarding an opportunity to reschedule the game.  As of now, the Nittany Lions‘ next game will be at Iowa on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 pm.  This game will also be televised Big Ten Network.

The Nittany Lions are 8-7 on the year with a 3-4 record in the conference.  Last time out was a hard faught loss to former Nittany Lion Jamari Wheeler and the Ohio State Buckeyes, 61-56.   We learned quite a bit about the gameday experience in Columbus and click here to see incoming recruit Braeden Shrewsberry knock down a buzzer beater for State College High School!
