Heavily recruit Philadelphia

Whether you think Pat Chambers should still be the coach (like he’d be if Penn State were Creighton) or deserved to go, Chambers recruited the heck out of Philadelphia.

Starting with transfer D.J. Newbill, Pat created the pipeline Penn State Basketball fans have sought for half a century.  His inroads with Roman Catholic High School, a Philly Catholic League power-house, landed Shep Garner, Tony Carr, Nazeer Bostick, Lamar Stevens and Seth Lundy!

These are some of the premier basketball high school programs in the state, if not the region, and could give the Nittany Lions a boost if they can recreate Chambers’ recruiting success in the City of Brotherly Love.

Micah Shrewsberry will be working hard to flip Jameel Brown (Haverford, PA) from Purdue, but in general that’s how Penn State Basketball can continue to rise in the B1G … Recruit Philly!!
