Lamar Stevens scored the game winner for the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight in their game vs the Atlanta Hawks!

In typical Lamar Stevens fashion, you know it would come on a slash to the bucket and an emphatic dunk!

Just as he did during his time as a playmaker for Penn State Basketball, Lamar Stevens is leaving his mark on the Cleveland Cavaliers, including Tuesday night’s game-winning dunk.

You can check out video of Stevens’ slam below:

The Cavaliers won 112-111 over the Atlanta Hawks as the Hawk’s last second shot fell short.  T

his is Stevens’ first game winning shot during his rookie season, but we’re hoping it’s not his last!

Lamar Stevens finished with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in just 16 minutes (+8 on the night).

While the Cavaliers aren’t having a great year, Lamar Stevens has likely been one of their bright spots.  As an undrafted free agent, any small contribution to the real team (as opposed to the G League) is a steal.  Lamar has done far more than that!  He is currently averaging 4.3 points 2.6 rebounds and an assist per game in an average of just under 15 minutes a game.  Perhaps most importantly, he’s played in 20 games this season, over half of the games on the Cavaliers schedule.

Tonight was one of his best shooting nights, going four-of-five from the field.  Stevens didn’t make his only three point attempt and didn’t attempt any free throws.

Three point shooting was likely the reason he wasn’t drafted, but even without drastic improvement there (only 13.3% from beyond on the year), he’s still getting not just real minutes, not just real buckets, GAME WINNING BUCKETS.

Way to represent #theclimb and PSU in the Association, Lamar!
