8. PJ Fleck – Minnesota Golden Gophers 

Fleck has been rowing the boat now for four seasons at Minnesota to a 26-19 overall record, but nothing matched his 2019 season.

The Gophers 11-2 record included an Outback Bowl victory, and a dramatic home win over Penn State Football when both teams met with perfect 8-0 records intact. It looked as if minnesota was a program clearly on the rise and ready to take off after that.

The weird season is one to toss to the side, as Minnesota went 3-4 but do not look too much into that, as for most teams. Fleck has built the culture there and to keep them relevant must get back closer to that of 2019 next fall.

His track record states that he will, and Minnesota could be a dark horse in the west.
