Penn State Football’s Jaquan Brisker Accepts Senior Bowl Invite

Penn State Football safety Jaquan Brisker has accepted an invite to the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Penn State Football safety Jaquan Brisker has accepted an invitation to the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

Brisker is the fourth Nittany Lion to receive this honor, as he will join teammates Shaka Toney, Tariq Castro-Fields and Michael Menet. The Senior Bowl is the premiere offseason all-star game for the best seniors all around the nation to come and showcase their talents in front of all 32 NFL teams.

Draftscout.com has Brisker as a projected 5th-6th round pick at the moment, but with his stellar play of late down the stretch run of this season, and a good showing in Mobile, he could certainly improve on that draft status.

The Pittsburgh native has only made eight starts in his career, but was put on the Senior Bowl’s preseason top 250 watch list back in August. After a slow start in 2020, it raised questions as to whether or not that invite would come, and even led many to think he may be coming back for a fifth year in 2021. However, he has turned his play around and been a huge contributor and reason for the Nittany Lions three game win streak they are currently on, and alas his Senior Bowl invitation came.

The senior has 50 tackles this season, 3.5 tackles for loss, seven pass breakups and recorded his first interception of the season in last week’s 39-24 victory over Michigan State.

Brisker was a huge get for coach James Franklin coming out of Lackawanna Community College, ranked as the 12th best Junior College prospect in the 2019 class. He also had offers from Alabama, Mississippi State and Maryland.

In previous seasons, Penn State alums Trace McSorley, Amani Oruwariye, Robert Windsor and Cam Brown have also participated in this event.
