Penn State football senior center Michael Menet has accepted an invite to the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Redshirt senior Michael Menet joined teammate Tariq Castro-Fields as the second Nittany Lion of the day to be honored with an invite to the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. Menet and Castro-Fields will also be joined by Penn State Football defensive end Shaka Toney, who accepted an invite to the Senior Bowl last week.

Menet is racking up the accolades this season, as he was named a team captain prior to the first game and also found his name added to the Rimington Trophy watch list in October, the trophy awarded to the best center in College Football.

Menet, much like his Senior Bowl bound teammates Toney and Castro-Fields, decided in the winter to return for a senior season in 2020.

Although the season has certainly not gone as planned, the Pennsylvania native anchors the offensive this offensive line group. A former 5-star recruit, he has made 29 starts in his career, making this his third season as the starting center for James Franklin. Menet is projected to be a 3rd or 4th round pick in April’s NFL Draft right now.

Penn State football fans can catch Michael Menet, Tariq Castro-Fields and Shaka Toney in the senior bowl January 30th, on the NFL Network.
