Sean Clifford deserves recognition for his place in Penn State history as the all-time leading passer with 10,661 yards and a record 86 passing touchdowns from 2018-22. He capped off his career with a 279-yard two-touchdown performance in a Rose Bowl victory over Utah.
However, Clifford was a product of his era, not just with modern offenses that inflate passing numbers across the entire sport, but he was also able to start a staggering 47 games throughout his five-year career, extended by an extra year of pandemic eligibility in 2022.
