It’s quite pointless to compare stats between a player like Sean Clifford and Chuck Burkhardt, who in 1969 threw just one touchdown pass to nine interceptions. It was an entirely different sport but one with the same simple objective, to win. 

Chuck Burkhardt accomplished that objective as well as anyone possibly could, winning all 22 of his starts in 1968 and 1969, leading Penn State to back-to-back 11-0 seasons with two Orange Bowl wins to cap off each. The Nittany Lions finished No. 2 in the country each year.
