Penn State football's first weekend of official visits had its highs and lows. On Tuesday, three-star cornerback Semajay Robinson officially flipped his commitment to Virginia after supposedly having a great visit with the Nittany Lions. Robinson's sudden change in heart came as a surprise, but head coach Matt Campbell won't have to worry much longer if he leaves a good impression on the recruits coming to Happy Valley from June 12-14.

Five prospects are visiting this upcoming weekend, only one of who is committed to Penn State (three-star safety Jonathan Galette). Of the four who haven't committed to a program yet, Campbell and associate head coach/cornerbacks coach Terry Smith have a clear target following the Robinson flip.

Three-star cornerback Dhillon McGee will be on campus. McGee is the No. 487 recruit nationally, No. 45 cornerback, and No. 66 prospect from Texas, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Rivals Industry Rankings has him listed at No. 428 nationally, No. 43 at his position, and No. 54 from his state.

McGee previously visited SMU on June 5-7, which was his first of three official visits he has scheduled. After his Penn State visit, he will be in Austin, Texas to see the Longhorns.

Following his visit with the Mustangs, no expert predictions were logged favoring them. The only prediction that still stands in his recruitment is from May 15 from Rivals insider Sam Spiegelman. Based on his projection, SMU has an 87.5 percent chance to land McGee, but that doesn't paint the entire picture of his recruitment given he has yet to wrap up his official visit season.

Aside from the upcoming official visit, the cornerback also visited the Nittany Lions on April 4 during a spring practice. He also took a game day visit in 2025 for the White Out matchup versus Oregon when former head coach James Franklin was still in charge.

Whether he's still trending towards the Mustangs or not has yet to be reported. There will be more clarity on where McGee is leaning after this weekend and, at the latest, after his final official visit.

McGee is slated to announce his commitment on June 24. Penn State, SMU, and Texas are the finalists in the running, meaning this weekend's visit can act as a crucial turning point in his recruitment. Especially after losing Robinson, Campbell and Smith must make McGee a priority.

Only having five prospects visiting will help that. Though McGee is not visiting with almost every currently committed recruit to see the culture and relationships that Campbell's building in Happy Valley, he and Smith can take more time dialing in on McGee.

The Nittany Lions' Class of 2027 cornerback room is now made up of four-star Kei'Shjuan Telfair and three-star prospects, Ka'ron Ceasar and Zachary Gleason Jr.

The Red Oak, Texas native totaled 31 tackles in 2025-26 (28 solo, three assists) and 15 passes defended in 10 contests. He also has special teams experience as a kick and punt returner.
