It's not all sunshine in Happy Valley anymore.

The aftermath of Penn State football's official visit weekend resulted in a number of expert predictions favoring the Nittany Lions to land some of their top, Class of 2027 targets. There weren't many uncommitted prospects visiting in this first bunch, but the ones that were are high on the blue and white already.

Surprisingly, those seven aren't the ones causing head coach Matt Campbell trouble. Rather, it's one of his commits who's sending mixed signals.

Three-star cornerback Semajay Robinson committed to Penn State on March 28.

“It’s really all about Coach Terry [Smith] and his coaching,” Robinson told Blue White Illustrated following his commitment in March. “The way he’s been able to coach and develop guys like [Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback] Joey Porter Jr., those are guys I model my game after. He’s got a strong legacy there and has developed a lot of guys."

In addition to Smith's coaching, relationship building was huge for Robinson. He had strong bonds with both Smith and Campbell, something that influenced his decision at the time.

Over the weekend, it was expected for the Nittany Lions to continue growing those relationships with Robinson and the other commits from the class. Initially following the official visits, that seemed to be a success.

Robinson posted on social media on Sunday, June 7, garnering Penn State fan support. He shared photos of himself wearing Nittany Lion gear with "#committed" tagged onto the end of his caption. On Twitter/X, he urged the Nittany Lion fanbase to "show love on ig with the OV pics."

It was also presumed that Robinson had shut down his recruitment following the visit. While it was not officially reported by major outlets, the love the cornerback showed for Penn State was enough to assume he was set on sticking with the blue and white.

As the weekend approached, Campbell and Smith knew they had work to do to retain Robinson.

The three-star prospect is ranked No. 501 nationally and No. 51 among cornerbacks, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Virginia stepped in as a flip contender for Robinson and he had an official visit with the Cavalliers the weekend prior to seeing the Nittany Lions.

Even after all the support and love Robinson showed for Penn State, new expert predictions completely threw his recruitment process off. Three experts of 247Sports — Zach Blostein, Tyler Calvaruso, and Jacquie Franciulli — switched their predictions between June 8 and June 9. All of them had Robinson landing with the Nittany Lions, but flipped their prediction to Virginia. The Cavalliers, according to 247Sports' Crystal Ball, has a 100 percent chance to flip Robinson.

Robinson's social media also reflected the random change of heart.

After posting photos from his official visit and drawing attention to them, Robinson suddenly removed all Penn State affiliated photos from his Instagram and changed his bio to "...COMMIT," hinting at a de-commitment and flip on the horizon.

The Nittany Lions aren't shallow at cornerback. Due to Smith's recruitment, they have three others at that position committed: four-star Kei'Shjuan Telfair and three-star recruits Ka'ron Ceasar and Zachary Gleason Jr.

The unexpected turn of events with Robinson, though, is something for Campbell to be wary about. Culture is a huge selling point for him and something he has valued since landing in Happy Valley. Regardless of where Penn State's Class of 2027 is ranked, he needs recruits who want to be there. For Robinson, his decision on how he feels about the Nittany Lions became very clear.
