2. 3-star Edwin Joseph

Penn State has done well in Pennsylvania and Virginia in the 2023 cycle, but it’s also doing quite well in Florida.

The Nittany Lions currently have three commits from Florida and could aim for a fourth in 3-star athlete Edwin Joseph.

Joseph came up from Miami back in September to watch a Penn State game. He has not been back since, but obviously it’s difficult for recruits from Florida to get to Penn State.

The 6-foot Joseph is rated as the No. 28 athlete in the country and has offers from Miami, Auburn, Florida State, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Getting Joseph away from the in-state Florida schools may be difficult. Miami is still receiving a jolt from its new coach boost, while Florida State is having a pretty good season.

Penn State does have recruiting ace Ja’Juan Seider in its corner though. If anyone can pull Joseph out of Florida, it’s Seider.

The Nittany Lions will have to continue to battle with the Florida schools for Joseph, but this is a recruitment they can certainly win with the success they’ve had in the Sunshine State so far.
