Bold prediction #2 – Penn State scores their first non-offensive TD of the season

So far, all of Penn State’s touchdowns in 2022 have come from the offense, but I think that changes this week.

Defensively, the Nittany Lions secondary has played excellent, and has four interceptions so far on the year. They’ve been close on many others, and seem like they’re very close to coming away with one that’s returnable for a pick six.

The pass rush has also been great, and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see a Chop Robinson or Adisa Isaac strip sack returned for a touchdown.

Special teams also seems like they’ve been really close to breaking off a long one. Both Nick Singleton and Parker Washington have each had some great returns in their respective roles, and each of them are dangerous with the ball in their hands in the open field. It won’t be long before one of them returns a kick or punt for six points.

One way or another, I think Penn State scores a defensive and/or special teams touchdown this week against Northwestern.
