Penn State Football will look to take care of business on Saturday against Northwestern to head into their bye week undefeated and knocking on the door of a top 10 ranking.

They can’t take the Wildcats lightly though, as they are hungry for an upset that can turn their season around.

What can we expect to see inside Beaver Stadium on Saturday? Nobody knows for sure, but here are three bold predictions for Penn State Football as they do battle with the Northwestern Wildcats in a Big Ten divisional crossover matchup.

Bold prediction #1 – no ‘letdown’ game

Many Penn State Football fans are fearful of a letdown game and a potential trap game this week against Northwestern, but I tend to believe that last week was the letdown game.

Northwestern is certainly a well-coached team that’s always prepared to put up a fight, but I think last week’s second quarter rally by Central Michigan was the kick in the pants this team needed to come back down to Earth and keep moving forward.

This may not be too bold of a prediction, but we’re starting off mild.

It’s tough to quantify what exactly a letdown game would be for the Nittany Lions, as many people would likely have differing opinions. Penn State is currently favored by slightly less than four touchdowns, so I’ll predict them to cover that spread and win by at least 28 points.
