Penn State Football: which returning starters need to step up in 2022?

We Are now less than 10 weeks away from when Penn State Football will kick off their season in West Lafayette against the Purdue Boilermakers, and the Nittany Lions will need some of their returning starters to step up their game if they hope to be successful in the fast-approaching season.

Much of the starters from last season’s unproductive offense return in 2022, so while it would certainly be helpful if they all took a step forward, there are some who’s improvements are much more needed than others.

Plus, one of few returning starters from last year’s defense needs to find another gear to help lead the position group that could make or break the Nittany Lions’ defense.

The following are a few returning starters who desperately need to step up for Penn State Football to have a chance to compete for a conference championship in 2022.
