The Transfer Portal

If Penn State doesn’t like the available options, they can keep the scholarships and wait to see what the transfer portal looks like after the season.

The Nittany Lions went to the portal this past off-season and picked up Mitchell Tinsley from Western Kentucky. He put up massive numbers there and will be key as Penn State tries to replace Jahan Dotson.

Tinsley wasn’t the only talented wide receiver to end up in the portal. The Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison was in the portal, as were Mario Williams, Jermaine Burton, Jadon Haselwood, Bru McCoy and Agiye Hall. All of these guys were big-time recruits back in the day.

The point? The transfer portal never lacks talent, especially at a position like wide receiver where there are so many options.

The portal is a great Plan B and, in some cases, it can be Plan A.
