3. Jahan Dotson burns Maryland and breaks records along the way

The Nittany Lions traveled to Maryland on a three-game losing streak in need of a win, and things were starting to turn in Maryland’s favor.

Penn State Football’s offense was backed up on their own 14-yard line, facing a second down and 18 following a sack. Clifford dropped back and found wide receiver Jahan Dotson over the middle and Dotson then turned on the jets and split the defense en route to an 86 yard touchdown putting Penn State Football up for good in the game.

Dotson would go on to catch 11 passes for a school-record 242 yards and three touchdowns in this one, helping the Nittany Lions take down the Terps 31-14.

Everyone knew Dotson was a special talent, but this game and that moment in particular was a defining one, one where he was just the best player on the field and was ultimately the sole difference in the game that day.

It looked as if Penn State Football was on the ropes and the momentum was changing in the direction of Maryland until Dotson sucked the wind out of the entire stadium when he took it 86 yards to the house.
