Terrence Lewis – Maryland

Lewis completes the pair of Terrapins on our top linebacker targets after entering the portal after missing the entire season due to a torn ACL.

Like teammate Brandon Jennings, Lewis is a Florida native who chose Maryland, however Lewis was the top ranked linebacker in the 2021 class. He was a five star recruit and the 21st ranked player in the nation according to 247sports. Not only was he highly touted in the class of 2021, but even made the 247 all time recruit list, coming in at 226.

He also had an offer from Penn State Football coming out of high school, and despite a torn ACL, would be a massive talent infusion to the Nittany Lions linebacker room. You don’t make the all-time recruits list without being extremely talented and having a high upside, one that should not be effected moving forward by his ACL injury.

Lewis will have four years of eligibility remaining, so much like his former teammate at Maryland, would be a guy who could be a factor not only in 2022, but beyond.

This is a no-brainer player to reach out to for James Franklin and Manny Diaz.
