Brandon Jennings – Maryland

Jennings is a former highly touted four star recruit out of Jacksonville, Florida in the 2021 recruiting class.

Jennings entered the portal after just one year with the Terps after making 17 tackles in 2021 and a forced fumble but was named to the 2021 Mid-Season True Freshman All-American team, as he was a legit factor in Maryland’s defense early in the season.

An injury in a game against Kent State limited his usage the rest of the season, but from reading the tea leaves from people who cover Maryland football, it seems this is a massive loss to the Terps defensive room, which could make him a huge get for his next program.

The Jacksonville native did have an offer from James Franklin and the Penn State Football coming out of high school, and we have seen from past portal additions that Franklin seems to look for players who he has a past relationship with or has recruited in the past..

Jennings is a superior talent and would be the highest ranked recruit in the Nittany Lions linebacker room immediately, and could be the top of high ceiling player who could make a huge impact not just in 2022, but will have three years of eligibility remaining.
