1. Victor Oluwatimi – Center/Virginia

This feels like a gift from the football gods to Penn State Football, and one they need to pounce on and quickly, as Oluwatimi will assuredly have a number of suitors.

Not only does the former Virginia center play maybe the position of greatest need for Penn State Football, as offensive line and particularly the interior of that offensive line, was a major weakness this past season.

He also happens to be a Maryland native who attended DeMatha Catholic which is a pipeline school for Penn State Football recruiting in an area of the DMV the Nittany Lions usually dominate.

Oluwatimi also fits the mold of player we saw Penn State Football target in the portal last winter; an under recruited, over achieving player, as Oluwatimi was a two star recruit coming out of high school.

Oluwatimi, listed at six-foot-four and 275 pounds was one of the three finalist this past season for the Rimington Trophy, given to the nations best center. He has played 36 games over the past three seasons and would be the perfect anchor to come in and change the complexion of this offensive line unit overnight.

His presence would allow Scruggs to stay at guard, and if Wormley is back and healthy next seaosn, the interior of that line could go from weakness to strength.

Mike Farrell of Rivals.com noted last week that Penn State Football was one of the teams aggressively pursuing him as soon as he entered the transfer portal.
