3 Bold Predictions for Penn State Football’s clash with Michigan
2. Penn State Football tight ends account for two touchdowns
Penn State Football’s offense has had trouble all season consistently getting the tight ends involved in the passing game, but this could be the week.
Michigan’s linebackers are not good in coverage and are vulnerable over the middle of the field. So, look for Theo Johnson and Brenton Strange to potentially have a big day through the air.
Johnson has 13 receptions on the year for 176 yards with one touchdown while Strange has 14 catches for 156 yards with three scores.
Strange has been a real threat in the red zone, while Johnson can be the guy who can stretch the middle of the field and find the seams in the middle of the Wolverines defense on Saturday.
Last season Michigan did a good job of locking up wide receiver Jahan Dotson but Parker Washington caught double-digit passes and was a menace over the middle of the field.
With Michigan most likely focused on the outside passing game and screen game that Penn State Football can be so dangerous with, look for the tight ends to exploit the middle of the field and their one-on-one matchups with linebackers.
