As highlighted earlier with Illinois, the Terps slipped by the Illini on a last second field goal.

Taulia Tagovailoa was great again, going 32-43 for 350 yards and a touchdown. Maryland also added 125 yards on the ground, something they will need to keep doing to compliment the passing attack.

On defense, Maryland totaled six sacks and safety Nick Cross and three pass breakups. This group has played a lot better since the first half against West Virginia to start the season.

While winning is good, this is a game Maryland easily could’ve lost. Credit to them for coming back, but if they want to be taken more seriously in the conference, barely beating the worst team in the conference won’t cut it.

Maryland plays Kent State this upcoming week, so they will likely go to 4-0 on the young season. After that though, they have back to back games against Iowa and Ohio State, so we’ll see what they look like after that.
