Penn State Football key No. 2: Win in the trenches

Auburn is not your typical powerhouse SEC team upfront on either side of the ball this year, which means Penn State Football should be able to win at the line of scrimmage.

Along their offensive line, the Tigers return four starters from a year ago, so the experience is there but they lack in talent. Along the defensive line, they are replacing two key starters from a year ago and lack that true stud upfront who can create chaos. They only registered two sacks a week ago against FCS opponent Alabama State.

With the advantage of this home crowd the Penn State defensive line needs to get home on Nix with four man rushes, allowing Pry to drop six or seven in coverage. Ends Ebiketie and Luketa are key Saturday night, as sacks can really allow this crowd to get going, and forcing Auburn to play in third and long is exactly where you want them to be.
