Penn State Football eyes a second ranked win in three weeks as they are set to host Auburn in front of a whiteout crowd Saturday night

Coming off a convincing 44-13 win over Ball State the Nittany Lions are set to take center stage hosting Auburn in prime time in front of a white out crowd at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State Football cracked the top 10 in the AP poll this week, while Auburn checks in at no. 22 after two blowout wins over lackluster opponents.

This non conference Big Ten – SEC showdown is as good as it gets with college football, especially with the atmosphere that will be in store.

Penn State Football seems to have a swagger and momentum to themselves after that big week one win.

Here’s a look at who Penn State Football needs to carry momentum into Week3, if they are going to send a white out crowd home happy.

The unsung hero on the defense

Jesse Luketa is arguably the MVP of this defense through two weeks, and his versatility was on full effect this weekend against Ball State.

Luketa’s move to defensive end was one due in large part to desperation after the season ending injury to Adisa Isaac and how thin this defense are was at that position.

Luketa was fantastic in his debut at defensive end against Wisconsin, and if that is a void he is able to successfully fill, it changes the entire defense.

Saturday, he started the game at his old position of linebacker because Ellis Brooks was suspended for the first half due to a targeting call in the second half of week one. Luketa held it down at linebacker and then when he was moved back down to end in the second half, he had an incredible one handed interception that he returned for a touchdown, all but putting the Cardinals to bed.

Luketa finished the game with four tackles, a tackle for loss and an interception for a touchdown.
