5. Tom Allen – Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana had a miracle 2020 season, defeating both Penn State Football and Michigan in the same season for the first time in over 20 years.

The Hoosiers 6-2 season and Outback Bowl berth were a culmination of a program that had been building, momentum built up from seasons that maybe was hard to see at the time. They broke through in 2019 with an 8-5 season, but still had yet to beat any of the big boys in the east.

They were able to do that last season and now face the challenge of proving they were not a fluke in a weird Covid season, rather that Indiana has staying power as a basketball school in a blu blood rich football conference.

It is evident Allen has the love of the players and had build a culture conducive to wining in Bloomington.
