5. One of the best wide receiver tandems in the land

Senior Jahan Dotson and sophomore Parker Washington will form one of the best wide receiver tandems not only in the Big Ten, but in the country.

Dotson emerged as the teams No. 1 option after K.J. Hamler departed for the NFL, leading the conference in receiving yards(884) and touchdowns(8) while finishing third in receptions(52). Dotson was a big play machine with four touchdown receptions of 60+ yards. His coming out party was a three touchdown performance against Ohio State in prime time.

The freshman Washington was a surprise of the initial depth chart release, but stuck as the teams no. 2 option, catching 36 passes for 489 yards and six touchdowns. The Texas native showed no effects of a shortened fall camp and acclimated to college football seamlessly, as he was a nightmare for opposing defenses in the slot last season.

Yurcich’s spread, air raid attack should suit them both very well, getting the ball out of the quarterbacks hand and into theirs, attacking space, especially for Washington who is like a running back after the catch.
