Griffith announced he will be transferring from Notre Dame, even though he has yet to enter the portal officially, he is expected to do so shortly and will be a name to watch for Penn State football.

Griffith is a former big time four star recruit from the 2018 class, where he chose the Irish over offers from big time programs, including Penn State Football. He has played in 36 games during his time in South Bend, racking up 32 total tackles, one tackle for loss and six pass breakups.

The former IMG Academy standout would be similar to some of the other transfers Franklin has brought in, in that he was offered by the Nittany Lions, but would differ in that he was a highly touted recruit that has not proven himself at the college ranks.

This would certainly be a risk, but if Penn State football could hit a homerun with this transfer, it could be program changing landing a player of his caliber.
