Quarterbacks

Continuing the theme of the last few weeks, Christian Hackenberg struggled, yet again. This may have been the gunslinger’s worst start of the season, throwing for just 112 yards on 12 of 26 passing. Hack threw two picks in a game again, without throwing one into the end zone.

The positive note was that he didn’t have to play well for Penn State to succeed.

However, it is concerning that in the best performance by the offensive line this year, Hack wasn’t able to get into a rhythm. The young QB missed on a bunch of throws and made questionable decisions. This stat line could look better, however, if DaeSean Hamilton was able to pull in the touchdown on Hack’s best throw of the day.

This was a tough performance overall for #14.
