Penn State football played its last game at Beaver Stadium on Saturday in Week 13's matchup, and the Nittany Lions (5-6, 2-6 Big Ten) celebrated their Class of 2026 seniors.

Penn State fans grieve what could've been after dominant win over Nebraska

Players continued spreading the love after the game on the field and via social media. With the uncertainty of Penn State's future still looming over recruits and eligible players to return, posts from those who can come back cause worry for who will enter the Transfer Portal. The window will open from Jan. 2-16. By then, the Nittany Lions will (or should) have their next head coach in place.

Regardless of who takes the job, Penn State players made it clear that they'll stay for interim head coach Terry Smith. With Smith being more likely to stay on the staff at another position, that might not be enough for some Nittany Lions to stay in Happy Valley.

Of those players is junior linebacker Tony Rojas, and his latest TikTok doesn't help the speculation either.

Junior linebacker Tony Rojas hints at his potential departure from Penn State following 2025 season

Rojas got injured earlier in the 2025 season, ruling him out indefinitely. At the end of October, he shared an injury update following his surgery with an optimistic attitude towards his recovery. After Penn State beat Nebraska on Saturday, he was one of the many Nittany Lions rallying behind Smith to be the next head coach.

Athletic director Pat Kraft is in a precarious position now as players made it very clear that they stay repping the blue and white if Smith stays leading them. If he isn't, Rojas isn't the only one seemingly prepared to make an exit.

On social media following Senior Day, Rojas posted a video captioned "Gonna miss the gang," with photos of the senior class. While it's fitting for the event, celebrating his close teammates who won't be on the field with him in 2026, it also may hint at his likeliness to leave Penn State after 2025.

Rojas is one of the Nittany Lions who are thought to follow former head coach James Franklin to Virginia Tech. Since the Transfer Portal hasn't opened, recruits flipping their commitments or saying Franklin's new spot automatically becomes a finalist sting Penn State's future. They won't be the only ones Franklin tries to bring over to the Hokies. Eligible players to return and more staff members are next on his list.

As for Rojas, specifically, the Virginia native can be convinced to join Franklin at a spot closer to home. Rojas' success before his injury was notable, so the linebacker will be a target of Franklin's to enhance Virginia Tech's defense.

Rojas' post could have been solely about the senior class, but it also serves as a reminder that the turnover on the roster will be drastic moving forward from players graduating and players transferring.
