Penn State is currently unranked in the AP Top 25 Poll after the upset UCLA pulled off in Week 6. Returning back to Beaver Stadium, the Nittany Lions (3-2, 0-2 Big Ten) need a dominant win over Northwestern in order to get back on track and restart a winning streak on the season.

The Wildcats (3-2, 1-1 Big Ten) crushed Louisiana-Monroe in a Week 6 non-conference battle. Northwestern won 42-7 and extended its win streak from the previous week. Unlike Penn State, the Wildcats bounced back from their loss to Oregon. In Week 5, they won 17-14 against the Bruins. Now, the Nittany Lions are coming off a loss to that team and seek their first Big Ten win in 2025.

Saturday is also Penn State's homecoming game. Fans are asked to participate in the Stripe Out theme, wearing either blue or white that corresponds with their respective section in the stands. The Nittany Lions will don their throwback jerseys on the field as well.
