Latest expert prediction favors Penn State to land three-star running back Chukwuma Odoh
The running back is ranked No. 728 nationally, No. 56 at his position, and No. 21 out of New Jersey, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Rivals Industry Ranking lists him 1,236th overall in the country, 94th among running backs, and 37th from his state.
In 2025, Odoh registered 91 carries for 629 yards and nine touchdowns, adding three receptions for 57 yards as well for Paramus Catholic.
Odoh currently has just one official visit scheduled. He will see the Nittany Lions over the weekend of June 19.
Despite getting an offer from Kentucky a little over a month ago, Penn State is still the frontrunner in this race. Rivals has the blue and white with a 47.6 percent chance at landing Odoh while the Wildcats rank second with a 28.2 percent chance.
Penn State has the No. 7 Class of 2027 in the country with 15 commits as of May 10. Of those 15, seven are on the offensive side of the ball and just three of those are skill players: four-star wide receiver Landon Blum, four-star tight end Cooper Terwilliger, and three-star wideout Jamir Dean. The Nittany Lions can potentially lose Dean as well after Georgia offered him a scholarship days after his decision. He is reportedly planning an official visit with the Bulldogs despite his commitment.
Penn State has also done well with New Jersey natives in this class. Three-star defensive lineman Carter Blattner, three-star cornerback Ka'ron Ceasar, and three-star safety Jonathan Galette are all from the state, though all four — including Odoh — attend different high schools.
