Hiller, the No. 10 Class of 2027 overall recruit nationally and No. 1 interior offensive lineman, is also the second-ranked recruit out of Pennsylvania, per 247Sports Composite rankings. At the end of January, On3 Rivals' Steve Wiltfong reported that rising high school senior was impressed by the energy head coach Matt Campbell and his staff have as well as how they develop players.

On Saturday, however, Hiller announced his four top schools. Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported the news. Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and Ohio State were named as Hiller's finalists, pushing Penn State out of the narrative for his commitment.

The blue chip recruit has various official visits set up. He's set to see the Crimson Tide over the weekend of May 29, the Volunteers over the weekend of June 12, and the Gators and Gamecocks over the weekend of June 19. Hiller has yet to schedule an official visit with the Buckeyes.

Given his plans to visit South Carolina, Campbell can still push for the in-state five-star. He took multiple unofficial visits to Happy Valley throughout his early recruitment, but only while Virginia Tech head coach James Franklin was still at Penn State.

If Hiller still holds the same perspective and opinion on the Nittany Lions' new staff, Campbell shouldn't let the potential pass him by. Penn State already missed out on five-star running back Kemon Spell from the Class of 2027. Spell committed to Georgia after making it known that the blue and white were serious contenders once again. The SEC prevailed. Campbell can weasel his way into Hiller's recruitment to ensure that doesn't happen a second time with a recruit right in Penn State's backyard.
