How to watch Penn State men’s basketball vs. Saint Francis
By Justin Segal
Penn State men’s basketball squad came off firing in their first two games in the 2024-25 season. After two straight games of scoring triple digits, the Nittany Lions face the Saint Francis Red Flash on Tuesday night in the Bryce Jordan Center.
Nine players are averaging seven or more points a game so far this season for the Nittany Lions. Leading the way has been senior Zach Hicks and junior Yanic Konan Niederhauser, each averaging 17 points per game. Seniors D’Marco Dunn and Ace Baldwin Jr. are averaging 14 and 11 points per game, respectively.
Saint Francis is 1-2 in the 2024-25 season, with losses to Dayton and Clemson. They escaped a nail-biter to Campbell on Sunday, winning the game 65-64. The Red Flash are ranked 345th in KenPom, a formula that uses analytics to sort all 364 Division I teams on a daily basis. Head coach Rob Krimmel has been at the helm since 2013, as they look to be competitive again in the Northeast conference this season.
The third consecutive non-conference game for Penn State should be a win, as they have already thumped Binghamton and UMBC by a combined 91 points. The Nittany Lions then travel to Baltimore to compete in the Hall of Fame Series against Virginia Tech on Friday night.
Freshman Miles Goodman and sophomore Eli Rice have yet to make their debuts for Penn State, and their status for Tuesday night remains up in the air.
