Week 6 for the NFL kicked off with a 34-17 win for the New York Giants over the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. Ahead of Sunday's slate of games, teams released their injury reports and practice statuses. Seven former Penn State football players were listed.

Injury reports and game statuses for Miles Sanders, Chris Godwin Jr., Yetur Gross-Matos, Rasheed Walker, Jaquan Brisker, Joey Porter Jr., and Kevin Winston Jr. here:

Miles Sanders OUT against Carolina Panthers

It was announced earlier in Week 6 that the running back sustained a season-ending injury and will not return in 2025. Sanders is undergoing chondral tissue graft surgery on his left knee in the midst of the season. He did not finish practice during the week.

This was an ongoing injury that bothered him throughout training camp and kept him in a minor role in the backfield at the start of the season. The Dallas Cowboys will fall back on Jaydon Blue, Hunter Luepke, and Malik Davis to take that backup role behind Javonte Williams. Phil Mafah is currently listed on injured reserve.

Chris Godwin Jr. OUT against San Francisco 49ers

Godwin Jr. was expected to return from an ankle injury, which he underwent a second surgery for, in the coming weeks. Ahead of Sunday's game, the wide receiver was listed as out with a fibula injury that is potentially related to his previous dislocated ankle.

According to Tampa Bay Buccaneers injury report, Godwin Jr. did not play Wednesday through Friday.

Yetur Gross-Matos OUT against Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yetur Gross-Matos was another former Nittany Lion with a hopeful full return after injuries interfered with his availability early in the season. After Week 5's Thursday Night Football win for the San Francisco 49ers, he sustained a knee and hamstring injury that kept him from practicing all week. The defensive lineman was officially ruled out on Oct. 10.

Rasheed Walker QUESTIONABLE against Cinncinnatti Bengals

The starting left tackle is dealing with a quadricep injury that caused him to be limited in practice on Wednesday and Friday. The Green Bay Packer did not practice on Thursday. Ahead of Sunday's game, Walker was listed as questionable and head coach Matt LaFleur said his availability will be determined following his performance in Friday's practice.

Jaquan Brisker game status NOT LISTED against Washington Commanders

Brisker's game status was not listed for Week 6. He did not play due to a quad injury on Thursday, but practiced in full Friday and Saturday. The defensive back is expected to play in Monday Night Football's game for the Chicago Bears.

Joey Porter Jr. game status NOT LISTED against Cleveland Browns

The cornerback sustained a hamstring injury earlier in the 2025 season, which was a significant setback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Porter Jr.'s game status was not listed on the injury report for Week 6 and he practiced in full Wednesday through Friday.

Kevin Winston Jr. game status NOT LISTED against Las Vegas Raiders

Winston Jr. was dealing with a hamstring injury throughout the season after his collegiate career was cut short due to injury in his final season at Penn State as well. The safety was limited in practice for the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday and Thursday, then returned to practice in full on Friday. His game status was not listed, meaning he should be expected to dress on Sunday.
