Penn State football's season-opener is three days away, which means so is head coach Matt Campbell's debut leading the Nittany Lions.

While it's a non-conference opponent in Marshall, Penn State is expecting Beaver Stadium to be lively. The Nittany Lions designated their Stripe Out theme for this Week 1 matchup, so the bleachers will features sections of blue and white and Campbell hopes to see the students and fans show their support for Penn State regardless of opponent.

After a successful fall camp, fans have a lot to look forward to out of this new crew of Nittany Lions. The roster is headlined by a few players, but especially Iowa State transfer and senior quarterback Rocco Becht. Becht is coming off a 2025 season that didn't see the same level of production from his sophomore year, but now healed from a lingering shoulder injury, Campbell and Co. have no worries that Becht will be the leader Penn State needs on and off the field.
