Announcers for Penn State vs. Minnesota on CBS in Week 13
By Josh Yourish
Penn State remained at No. 4 in the third iteration of this year’s College Football Playoff rankings. In the past, that would have been good enough to make the four-team CFP, but in 2024 it affords even more margin for error with the expansion to 12 teams. Still, James Franklin is hoping that his Nittany Lions win out to finish 11-1 with the lone loss to Ohio State, currently the No. 2 team in the country.
Since that loss to the Buckeyes, Penn State has beaten Washington at home 35-6 and Purdue on the road 49-10. Quarterback Drew Allar has played exceptionally well in back-to-back games, last week leading Penn State to such a large halftime lead that he and the rest of the starters were able to watch from the sidelines for the entire fourth quarter. That includes tight end Tyler Warren, who Allar and Franklin have been lobbying to win the Heisman Trophy.
Warren has another opportunity to add to his Heisman resume against Minnesota in Week 13 with the 9-1 Nittany Lions just two wins away from locking up a spot in the postseason and likely hosting a first-round playoff game at Beaver Stadium.
With so much on the line against PJ Fleck’s upset-minded Minnesota Golden Gophers, CBS has chosen the matchup for its 3:30 p.m. ET window on Saturday.
Who are the announcers for Penn State vs. Minnesota?
CBS will feature No. 4 Penn State’s Week 13 trip to Minnesota at 3:30 p.m. ET with Brad Nessler on play-by-play leading his crew with Gary Danielson as his color commentator and Jenny Dell reporting from the sidelines.
