2024 4-Star WR Tyseer Denmark Commits to Penn State
The Penn State football team continues to grow its 2024 recruiting class. The Nittany Lions are still missing commitments from wide receivers in the class, but that all changed today as Tyseer Denmark has committed to Penn State.
A native of Philadelphia, PA Denmark felt like the one that got away from the Penn State staff when he made his commitment to Oregon back on November 24th, 2022. However, after his time on campus this weekend at Penn State Denmark decided to stay in his home state.
This is huge news for a couple of reasons, first off Denmark is a highly talented player in the 2024 class. He is currently a 4-star prospect with a .9182 composite ranking according to 247sports. He is also ranked as the 3rd best player in Pennsylvania behind fellow Penn State commits Quinton Martin and Cooper Cousins.
Another reason why Denmark’s commitment is big news in the PSU community is that this should lead to a domino effect with other wide receivers that are on the Nittany Lions big board. I’d expect the 2024 class to have 3-4 wide receivers in it, so now other top recruits will begin to make their decision as well. Players to keep an eye on include Peter Gonzalez, Josiah Brown, and Jaylan Hornsby who are all candidates that might be wearing blue and white in 2024.
This is another case of the importance of being on campus for a visit as Denmark shared on his Instagram story that he was visiting Penn State this weekend. Not only, does it help to be back in your home state but to also hear that recruiting pitch again from the PSU staff is equally as important.

Now, recently hired wide receivers coach Marques Hagans has his first commitment during his Penn State career. I am eager to see how he continues to do on the recruiting trail and more importantly how the 2023 wide receivers produce this fall.
