A few hours after the Blue-White game came to an end on Saturday, a new 2024 commit joined the Penn State football family. This was ATH Caleb Brewer from Wyomissing, PA. He chose Penn State over Pittsburgh, Michigan, and Notre Dame.

Brewer stands at 6’4 275 lbs and is a 3-star recruit per 247sports. He attends Wymossing high school, the same school that produced 5-star 2023 signee, J’ven Williams.

During Brewer’s junior season in 2022, he played both tight end and left/right tackle. He is listed as an ATH but he will likely play on the offensive line during his time at Penn State. He brings versatility to the Penn State football team, as he also wrestles and participates in track & field.

The more sports these student-athletes can be involved in, the better. Typically, when playing more than one sport, this can lead to building new muscles that players can use for their main sport. In this case for Brewer is football.

I do believe success can be driven by playing multiple positions during your high school career in order to understand your offense on a more in-depth level.

The relationship being built between the Wyomissing staff and Penn State is fantastic, which could lead to additional commitments in the future.

Brewer is currently listed as the 8th best player in the state of Pennsylvania. As of right now, the 2024 class consists of the #1 player in PA Quinton Martin, #3 Cooper Cousins, #5 Anthony Speca, #8 Caleb Brewer, and #10 Kenneth Woseley, Being able to keep the majority of the best players in the state of Pennsylvania is a huge win for Penn State football.

This is also a big win for the PSU coaching staff as they can stack back-to-back years of very talented offensive linemen.

As they say…The best in PA, stay in PA.
