Jameel Brown was a highly recruited prospect earning 4 stars per ESPN. The freshman guard is from Philadelphia, PA and he entered the NCAA transfer portal on 3/29.

Brown had a relatively quiet freshman season mostly due to the talented guards the Nittany Lions had this season.

He appeared in 14 games registering 12 points scored, 14 rebounds, and 2 steals this season (per Penn State athletics).

He didn’t shoot well from the floor, but this young man has all the talent of the world. I would imagine after a year of adjusting to the college game, Brown will find his true rhythm next season.

Many Penn State basketball fans really want Brown to stick around because he is that Philly kid. There have been several events that make me think there’s a good possibility Brown does return to PSU. He was in attendance for Mike Rhoades’s press conference when he arrived at Penn State last week.

Also, he made an appearance on the Penn State basketball Twitter page tonight 4/5, he was participating in practice.

We will give this one some time, but if Brown can return to PSU that would be a huge win in my opinion.
