Caleb Dorsey
The 6’7 forward from Westminster, MD Caleb Dorsey just finished his sophomore season at Penn State. On 3/22 he entered the NCAA transfer portal looking for a new opportunity.
Dorsey appeared in 16 games for Penn State this past season and started 9 of those. He was a regular contributor early in the season but fell out of the rotation as the season went on. The reason for his sudden disappearance was never defined, it felt like the team excelled with a smaller lineup which made Dorsey the odd man out.
During his sophomore season, Dorsey averaged 2.3 points per game and 2.2 rebounds per game. These numbers shattered his previous career highs. He also scored a career-high 9 points in a game against Butler this past season (all stats per Penn State athletics).
He played 33 career games in a Penn State uniform, if we can retain Dorsey that would be fantastic; however, I would imagine he is seeking a larger role during the 2023-2024 season.
