Jeremiah Beasley

Penn State Football is targeting another 4-star linebacker from Michigan in Jeremiah Beasley.

Rated as the No. 245 player in the nation, Beasley has offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others. Keeping him away from the in-state schools will be difficult.

What will also make this recruitment difficult is the fact that the Nittany Lions just jumped into the mix of this recruitment. Penn State offered at the end of January when Beasley was on campus for a Junior Day visit. Obviously, he impressed the staff enough to walk away with an offer.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, Beasley doesn’t have the size Jones and Chiles do, but he certainly doesn’t lack athleticism. That athleticism will play in college, where Beasley projects best at the SAM position.

The Nittany Lions will hope that Kari Jackson, a fellow Michigan native, can get in Beasley’s ear and make him think hard about joining Jackson at Penn State. Additionally, Penn State will likely need to get Beasley back on campus for an official visit in order to try to even the playing field with the two Michigan schools.
