ATH Mekhai White

Versatility is something Penn State has been looking for in its players and there may not be a more versatile recruit in Virginia than 3-star Mekhai White.

White is ranked as the No. 410 player in the country and No. 52 athlete. While he’s not ranked as high as the other two on this list, he is equally as talented. This is evident by his impressive offer sheet that includes Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Wisconsin.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 182 pounds, White has the size to play wide receiver or safety or possibly grow into a linebacker. A player that can play both sides of the ball will always have a place at Penn State. In the 2022 class, the Nittany Lions landed multiple versatile players like Mehki Flowers and Cristian Driver.

White is also a standout on the basketball court, and that also makes him a desirable target for the Nittany Lions. Penn State has recruited numerous players that were also stars at other sports in high school. As many know, 2021 signee Lonnie White was a standout on the baseball diamond, which led to him being drafted high enough to forgo college. Alex Birchmeier, a fellow Virginian and a 2023 signee, was also a quality wrestler in high school.

Penn State Football would be better off with White on the roster.
