1. A Transfer Wide Receiver

Penn State Football will not have its top two wide receivers from 2022 in 2023.

Both Parker Washington and Mitchell Tinsley will move on to the NFL. This leaves the Nittany Lions with a lot of production that needs to be replaced.

On top of that, Penn State will be starting a new quarterback in 2023 in Drew Allar. It is vital for Penn State to put veteran pass catchers around its young star quarterback. He will make mistakes; the receivers can help mask those mistakes.

Penn State has spread a wide net when it comes to targeting wide receivers in the transfer portal.

The No. 1 target seems to be Kent State transfer Dante Cephas. Other targets include two former top recruiting targets for the Nittany Lions in Dont’e Thornton and Kaden Prather.

Ideally, the Nittany Lions would like to land two from this group. With that said, getting just one from this group would be huge for the program. It would give Penn State another veteran wide receiver to go along with KeAndre Lambert-Smith.

Cephas would be a great gift for not only Franklin, but Allar as well.
