Penn State Football got better on Friday with the addition of Kaveion Keys

Penn State Football continued its pursuit of a top ten recruiting class by adding 4-star Kaveion Keys on Friday.

The athletic linebacker from Virginia decommitted from North Carolina last week and committed to the Nittany Lions on Friday.

While it wasn’t a straight up flip, this was a huge turnaround for Penn State to get Keys off his North Carolina commitment and then seal the deal less than a week before the early signing period will open.

Penn State now has 22 commits in its 2023 class, which ranks No. 12 in the nation. Keys was a major addition to this class. considering he’s ranked as the No. 15 linebacker in the country by 247 Sports.

Having this kind of momentum as the signing period approaches is always a good thing. Keys’ commitment was a big one for Penn State Football, let’s dive into why.
