The secondary was a strength for Penn State Football in 2022. The Transfer Portal will be key to keeping the position strong.
Penn State Football had a phenomenal year in 2022. The defense was able to adjust to a new Defensive Coordinator and finish the year as one of the best units in the country. In order to keep the high standard that was set, Penn State will need to find a cornerback in the Transfer Portal.
The defense was spearheaded by a secondary that has developed into a self-proclaimed “No-Fly Zone.” The unit finished the season amongst the top teams at causing incompletions and forcing quarterbacks to be inefficient.
