Penn State Football was able to win ten games during the 2022 campaign. Let’s take a look at the best wins of the season.

Penn State Football gave fans a lot to cheer for in a season labeled as a rebuilding year. James Franklin mixed his veterans and young players to achieve a likely New Years’ Six Bowl. A feat that nobody was expecting from this year’s team.

The season started with a thrilling road win against the Big Ten West Champion and ended with a victory that kept Michigan State from bowl eligibility. The season featured ups, the blowout at Auburn, and downs, getting outmatched at Michigan. Penn State also had to play in the remnants of a hurricane against Northwestern. The 2022 season had it all.

The program gave us plenty of options to pick from when it comes to the best wins. So let’s take a look at Penn State’s three best wins of the 2022 season.

Honorable Mention

46. 806. Final. 10. 2247

The Ohio Bobcats went on to a 9-3 season and a berth in the MAC Conference Title game. A win over a MAC team in September might not seem like a big win, but Ohio ended up being a really solid football team.

Final. 0. 824. 30. 806

The Maryland game was one of the most dominating games that Penn State played. The game was never in doubt, and Penn State showed the talent discrepancy between the two programs.

805. 35. 806. Final. 16

Michigan State came into the final game of the season needing a win to secure a bowl berth. Penn State needed a win to secure a New Years’ Six Bowl appearance. The game was tight in the fourth quarter, but super senior Sean Clifford closed the door on the Spartans.
