4. 3-star DE Joseph Mupoyi (269.66)

After losing Tomarrion Parker over the summer, Penn State football needs to add another defensive end to this class.

One of the more likely candidates to fill that void is 3-star Joseph Mupoyi. The 6-foot-5 Mupoyi attends St. Thomas More in Connecticut, the same school as Penn State commit Zion Tracy.

Between Penn State having a need at the position and the Nittany Lions having one of his teammates in his ear talking about Penn State, the Nittany Lions could be in a good spot here.

Mupoyi is currently ranked as the No. 46 edge player in the country for the 2023 cycle. He is seen as a little more of a project than a plug and play player like Dani Dennis-Sutton this season.

Regardless of how long it takes to get Mupoyi on the field, Penn State can use some more depth at the position. With not many realistic options left on the board, Mupoyi feels like a safe bet to end up at Penn State at this point.

With Mupoyi, Penn State would have 24 commits and 269.66 points, which would keep the Nittany Lions at No. 11 with the way things currently stand.
