1. 4-star CB Daniel Harris (265.74)

Daniel Harris made headlines Monday night when he announced he was reopening his commitment and leaving the Georgia class.

It was a shock to see a recruit of Harris’ caliber leave the defending national champions, but that’s the case here.

Penn State received an official visit from Harris back in June before he committed to Georgia. With the play of cornerback Joey Porter Jr., and the secondary as a whole, Penn State is an attractive destination for defensive back recruits.

The Nittany Lions already have six defensive backs committed in 2023, but at most only two of them profile at the cornerback position. Adding Harris would make this group one of the deepest and most versatile hauls in the country for 2023.

By adding Harris, Penn State football would have 265.74 points, good enough for the No. 8 spot in 2022, but not this year. More work still needs to be done.
