5. 4-star DE Dominic Nichols (2024)

Penn State football may not have to leave the state of Maryland to find its edge rushers in the 2024 class.

Another edge player the Nittany Lions are targeting is 4-star Dominic Nichols. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, Nichols looks to definitely be a defensive end at the next level.

Rated as the No. 26 edge player in the 247 Sports Composite, Nichols holds offers from Maryland, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. He is more of a regional recruit at this time.

With that said, Penn State should be winning the majority of the regional recruitments it takes part in. The Nittany Lions are by far the biggest brand in this recruiting region and need to continue to show that dominance.

Nichols attended Penn State’s home opener against Ohio and the attended a Maryland game in early October. One games rarely sways a recruitment, but Penn State coming out this Saturday and making a statement over the Terps may help.

From Ijamsville, MD, Nichols will continue to be one of the top pass rushers on Penn State’s board for the 2024 class as the Nittany Lions look to fight off Maryland and others.
