Penn State Football: six things I want to see against Central Michigan

Touchdowns by at least three different running backs

Similar to nearly seeing all four scholarship quarterbacks against Auburn, we nearly saw rushing touchdowns by three different running backs; though unfortunately Devyn Ford could not punch it in down near the goal line in the fourth.

This is a game that not only should all four backs get a lot of carries, but at least three of them could potentially find the endzone.

The last time Penn State Football had three different running backs score rushing touchdowns in the same game was the 2019 Cotton Bowl against Memphis when Journey Brown and Noah Cain each reached paydirt twice, and Devyn Ford added one himself.

It seems like this is a team that can and will rely heavily on the run this season, which is a total 180 from a year ago, so they should be effective against Central Michigan and will likely run the ball a lot, especially with what should be a sizeable lead in the second half.

Devyn Ford especially is someone that I’d like to see reach the endzone in this one, as he has not scored since December 5th of 2020 at Rutgers. He’s been loyal to the program and he understands his role this season, so he deserves it.
