2. Showing off for the targets

While impressing recruits already committed is important, it also is with uncommitted targets.

It just so happens that one of the best players in Alabama just became available as 4-star wide receiver Karmello English decommitted from Auburn earlier this week.

English is high school teammates with Tomarrion Parker. He put Penn State in his top five back in April despite not taking a reported visit to Happy Valley.

Even though English is no longer committed to Auburn, he will likely be keeping an eye on this game considering two of the teams from his final five are playing.

If Penn State’s receivers have a big day, it could spike English’s interest even more. We could also find out if he would take a visit for a game later this year then.

Penn State wide receiver Harrison Wallace is a native of Alabama. If he was to have a big day, that would be a massive recruiting tool for the Nittany Lions with English.

It’s unclear how much of a factor Penn State still is with Parker but winning this game and getting his teammate excited should at least bring back some of the good vibes he had when he first committed to Penn State.
